Pros & Cons

Pros

  • The input lag is low, making it perfect for playing games and watching movies. The recommended TV has a very short delay between button presses and screen updates which should help you play your favorite video game or watch that Netflix show without any problems at all
  • The design of these headphones is a major upgrade from their predecessor.
  • The team’s ability to handle a variety of reflective situations was crucial.

Cons

  • Poor contrast ratio.
  • This monitor has very narrow viewing angles.
  • Might not get bright enough to overcome intense glare.

Office

The BenQ XL2546K has a decent monitor for office use. It’s not as big and spacious as some, but it should still be enough to give you plenty of space when side by side with other windows or people on your team who have different programs open at once.

The ergonomics are excellent so adjusting the settings won’t take long at all – just go through each one until they feel right for how big/narrowed in their workspace will need them too (some may want more horizontal size than vertical).

This TN panel does lack viewing angles though; which means those looking carefully from across room distances might find themselves having trouble reading.

Gaming

The BenQ XL2546K is a great gaming monitor. It has low input lag and high refresh rates to deliver responsive gameplay, as well as a fast response time that produces clear images in motion sequences with fast movements on screen.

The lack of contrast ratio can make it difficult for gamers who want deep blacks during dark hours or playing games online where opponents may be hidden from view but still need some illumination under their character models; however, this doesn’t affect co-op play since players use different monitors anyway.

Multimedia

The BenQ ZOWIE XL2546K is a great monitor for those who want to watch media content. It has excellent ergonomics and offers several viewing angles, perfects if you share your screen with others or need it from all sides when using multiple monitors at once.

The downside? Images look washed out due to the low contrast ratio which makes dark colors seem grayer than anything else in brightly lit scenes; however, this can be improved through calibration software available on most computers today.

A solid gaming monitor that delivers high resolutions without any lag time – you’ll have no problem playing games smoothly whether they’re first-person shooters like Call of Duty: Ghosts, or third-person adventure/roleplaying titles such as Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.

Design

*Style

  • Weight (with stand)
  •  14.1 lbs (6.4 kg
  • Curved No
  • Curve Radius Not Curved
  • Weight (without stand)
  •  9.3 lbs (4.2 kg)

The BenQ Zowie XL2546K has a plain and simple design that’s not too heavy on the gamer aesthetic, so it should fit easily into most office environments. The borders are thicker than other recent monitors which some people might find off-putting but others love for their robust feel in hand or when playing games with action scenes happening all around them.

Like its predecessor model (XL2540), anti-glare shields come standard as well – making sure your eyes stay happy no matter what kind of lighting conditions you’re under during playtime

A few extra features worth mentioning include 1080p resolution vs upscaling from lower resolutions like 1440×1080 *resolution switching options*(4k down).

*Stand

  • Width -10.2″ (26.0 cm)
  • Depth  -7.0″ (17.9 cm)

The stand is small and lightweight, but it’s not stable. When you nudge the monitor with your hand or something else firm in its direction

*Ergonomics

  • Height Adjustment
  •  6.1″ (15.5 cm)
  • Switch Portrait/Landscape Yes, Clockwise
  • Swivel Range -45° to 45°
  • Tilt Range -20° to 5°

The ergonomics are excellent. This means that the monitor is designed to fit your needs with ease, making it easy for adjustments so you can find an optimal position onscreen without any trouble whatsoever!

*Back

  • Wall Mount VESA 100×100

The back of the monitor comes fully assembled with branding, including an exposed logo on its surface. There’s also room for headphones and a hook near the right edge to keep cords out of view when not in use. The stand can be removed using quick-release tabs allowing you easy access inside if ever needed – perfect.

*Borders

  • The borders of this phone are not as sharp and smooth which can be distracting.

* Thickness

  • Thickness (with stand)
  •  5.3″ (13.5 cm)
  • Thickness (without stand)
  •  2.4″ (6.1 cm)

The monitor and stand are both of a medium thickness.

Build Quality

The build quality is okay as it’s entirely made out of plastic and feels a bit cheap. The stand isn’t particularly stable, which means you’ll need something to hold on top for extra stability or else risk damaging your monitor when adjusting its height. You can also wiggle the base stem quite easily–this wouldn’t be an issue if adjustability was smooth but instead, there are hinges that make all movement slow-going so expect some jiggling before anything changes.

Picture Quality

*Contrast

  • Native Contrast -820: 1
  • Contrast With Local Dimming

With a sub-par contrast ratio, the BenQ ZOWIE XL2546K panel has an average of 810:1. However, with some units being more or less than advertised 1000:1, it’s difficult to come up with an accurate statement about their quality as there are so many variables involved in judging this kind of thing.

*Local Dimming

  • Local Dimming -No
  • Backlight -Edge

The Benq XL2546K doesn’t have a local dimming feature. The video above is provided for reference only.

*SDR Peak Brightness

The BenQ ZOWIE XL2546K has a peak brightness that’s only slightly lower than its advertised maximum, which is great for games and movies.

It can get pretty bright in well-lit environments but may not be enough when dealing with glare from other sources such as windows or direct sunlight (which also consumes more electricity). If you want something brighter try out the ASUS TUF Gaming VG258QM!

You can see from the before and after pictures that calibration did a great job of reducing SDR peak brightness. Before calibration, our screen measured at over 335 cd/m² but with Brightness maxed out in ‘Standard’ Picture Mode we only obtained about 310!

*Horizontal Viewing Angle

Check Price On Amazon

We measured the SDR peak brightness after calibration in ‘Standard’ Picture Mode with Brightness set to max. Calibration seems to reduce this screen’s overall peak luminance, as we were able to reach 335 cd/m² before calibration – much closer than advertised!

*Gray Uniformity

The screen is more of an off-white color, which can make viewing at night or in dim lighting difficult. The darker upper edge doesn’t go away even with brighter surroundings because it has a dirty film over it that makes everything look hazy and unclear

The display itself presents some issues when looking directly on either side due to what appears as grayscale gradients but looks absolutely terrible against anything else. Luckily for you, though there’s no need to worry about any serious eye strain since this condition just affects how bright different areas become displaying normal colors rather than picking out pixels like other monitors might do.

*Black Uniformity

The BenQ XL2546K has mediocre black uniformity. However, this may vary between units and can depend on how old the monitor is in question which could also affect the quality of screen display.

There’s some clouding here and there but nothing major enough to really distract from your viewing experience – well unless you’re looking for things such as graininess or darkness when trying out different angles than what would be optimal seated directly face-on towards an image source coming off either side (such as when playing game).

*Post Calibration

Calibrating this monitor is an easy way to ensure that you are getting the most out of your display. The colors will look more accurate, and the white balance can be tuned perfectly for any lighting situation with settings ranging from 5500k-6500k light sources.

Calibration also includes gamma correction which makes dark scenes brighter without making bright ones too intense or dull – perfect if night vision goggles need some extra illumination while reading text on the screen at midnight

There’s never been a better time than now get started calibrating today so read below for more information about how everything works step by step.”

Download our ICC profile calibration here! This is provided for reference only and shouldn’t be used as the values vary per individual unit due to manufacturing tolerances even for models with similar specifications.

*Reflections

The matte anti-reflective coating on this phone’s screen works well to reduce the intensity of reflected lights, but visibility can still be an issue. The glare from intense light may cause problems with your view if you’re outside in a bright area and looking at something close up like reading text messages or watching videos for long periods of time because it might not get hot enough before going out compared with other smartphones which have screens that become too hot when used continuously without much break between uses (which is why we recommend carrying around one extra charger wherever possible).

The Great reflects its panels make them great tools in fighting back against all kinds of reflections from every angle though

*Text Clarity

The monitor is equipped with a matte anti-reflective coating, which prevents the view from being blurred by ambient light. This helps improve clarity and makes ReadType more readable on this screen type

*Response Time

The response time at 60Hz is great. The image isn’t as blurry, so there are fewer dark artifacts and it’s easier to see what your friends on the other side of a screen or in another room look like. You should lower the overdrive setting if you notice any slowdowns with frame rates though; this way things will still be fluid no matter how many people want to play games together because who doesn’t love playing video chat through their phone while binge-watching TV?
